South Brighton has won the Countrywide inter-club indoor croquet competition. The team was beaten only once in nine matches. Results of the final rounds were: Round 8: Elmwood A 9, Kaiapoi A 0; Kaiapoi B 5%, St
Martins 2t4; Redcliffs 5, South Brighton 4; St James 7, Holmes Park 2; Elmwood B 7, Rangiora 2. Round 9: Elmwood B 5, Holmes Park 4; Rangiora 8,: St Martins 1; Redcliffs 9, Kaiapoi B 0; St James 6, Kaiapoi A 3; South Brighton 6, Elmwood A 3.
