Roxby protest
NZPA-AAP Adelaide Anti-uranium protesters will meet the South Australian police tomorrow to discuss tactics at the planned blockade at the Roxby Downs uranium and copper mine starting this Sunday. Chief Superintendent Ken Thorsen said he would meet representatives from the Campaign Against Nuclear Energy to discuss several undertakings the police have asked of the protesters.
These were concerned with maintaining liaison during the demonstration and ensuring there was no violence.
Mr Thorsen said the police had already given a general assurance to protesters that a number of conditions they had asked for would be met.
