Probe on ’copter attack
NZPA-Reuter Karlsruhe
Shots were apparently fired at a helicopter yesterday as it was on its way to pick up the West German Federal Prosecutor, Kurt Rebmann, and a spokesman for his office said terrorist involvement was being investigated. The incident occurred as the helicopter was approaching the prosecutors office in Karlsruhe, West Germany. There was no indication of who was responsible or whether it was an attempt to kill Mr Rebmann, the spokesman said. Two policemen, local businessmen and park keepers said they heard three shots.
By the time a police warning reached the pilot by radio, he had already taken off again with Mr ■Rebmann aboard.
