Court forum

A unique feature of the Court Theatre will reappear next Sunday — the open forum on the plays. Elric Hooper, the artistic director, will resume the informal talks and discussions about the Court Theatre’s latest presentations. This one is called “Mac the Knife, Brecht and Weill” and deals with the background to “The Threepenny Opera,” its origins, and the way the

Court has produced it. Such forums are held the Sunday afternoon after the opening of a play in the main theatre. Admission is free and the audience may ask questions.

Other forums this year will be on “Chekhov and The Cherry Orchard” (Sunday, September 30) and “The State of New Zealand Theatre in 1984” (Sunday, November 4).
