N.Z. enters weightlifting
NZPA-AFP Jakarta Eight countries, including New Zealand, have registered to take part in the Asia-Pacific weightlifting competition to be held in Bandung, West Java, on July 19-22, the Antara news agency reports. The agency quoted a spokesman of the Indonesian Weightlifting Association (P.A.8.8.5.1.) as saying
that Japan would send eight athletes, including the flyweight world champion, H. Inaba. Malaysia will send six athletes, Singapore eight, India 10, while the Philippines, Australia, and New Zealand have not yet sent their lists of participants. Indonesia is to field 11 athletes, the agency said.
