Jail after fatality
NZPA-ReuterDar es Salaam A South African nationalist activist, Dumisani Dube, has been sentenced to jail on charges arising out of a car accident in April in which the Tanzanian Prime Minister, Mr Edward Sokoine, was killed.
Tanzanian Government radio said that Dube, a representative of the African National Congress (A.N.C.), in Tanzania, apologised to the Court, President Julius Nyerere, and Mr Sokoine’s family for causing the Prime Minister’s death. He told the Court that the accident was caused by his incompetent driving.
