Sales staff of the Tourist and Publicity Department are introduced to the Christchurch Town Hall yesterday by the Town Hall manager, Mr Ray Sleeman, on the first day of the department’s South Island “School on Wheels.” Twenty-two members of the department’s sales staff are taking part in the school tour, which is designed to familiarise them with tourist facilities. The group will visit the Pudding Hill Leisure Resort, Lake Tekapo, and Mount Cook today. The school will return to Christchurch on June 22 and will end after a scenic drive.
