Chubb buys Mills Tui
PA Wellington Negotiations have been completed with shareholders of Mills Tui Trailers, Ltd, for the firm to become part of the Chubb NZ, Ltd, organisation, Chubb’s chairman, Mr Gray Hunter, said in a statement. The addition of Mills Tui to Chubb’s New Zealand operation would provide added strength in the fire protection business, as well as enabling Mills Tui to have access to a wider range of overseas markets through the Chubb worldwide network. Mills Tui Trailers’ managing director, Mr lan Kerr, said his company was excited at the prospect of becoming part of an enterprise the size of Chubb. Exports of the company’s specialised vehicles in the fire-fighting area would benefit from access to a world-wide company’s resources, to say nothing of research and development facilities, he said.
