Ponsonby beaten
PA Auckland DB Auckland beat Ponsonby, 90-76, in a National League basketball match last evening. It was the most convincing win by Auckland over Ponsonby in three seasons of the Countrywide competition. Seven points had been the widest margin be-
tween the sides when Auckland played as Metro and Ponsonby as Drake Personnel. The centre, Benny Anthony, top-scored with 33 points while a guard, Warwick Meehl scored 26. Top scorers for Ponsonby were Sqgtt Vogt (19) and Harold Mcfyyth (18).
