Meeting on health camps
The future of children’s health camps will be discussed at a lunch-time meeting in the Stringleman Room of the Canterbury Public Library on Tuesday. The public meeting will be attended by members of the committee reviewing the children’s health camp movement and will be chaired by its chairman, Mr Mervyn Hancock. Its aim is to help the committee gauge public feeling on health camps. Similar meetings in other centres had provided worthwhile feedback, said Dr Dianne Ward, the medical officer for local health camps. Education, health, and welfare agencies have been invited, and members of the public are welcome to attend.
