Escaped prisoner recaptured
One of two prisoners who escaped from Paparua Prison on Thursday morning was recaptured at the weekend. . Patrick John O’Malley, aged 26, also known as Williams, will appear in the District Court today charged with escaping, said a spokesman for the Christchurch police yesterday. The other escaper, Mark Huia Bain, aged 24, was still at large late last evening. He is described as a Maori, about 173 cm (sft Bin) tall, of medium build, with brown hair, and brown eyes.
