Tourism Act now —M.P.
Parliamentary reporter More than 60 reports on New Zealand tourEm have been written since 1974, and now it E time to act, according to Labour’s tourEm spokesman, Mr M. K. Moore (Papanui). He said the latest report — from the TourEm Council on Esues and policies — ought not to be allowed to gather dust on library shelves with all the others. “The weak-kneed approach by the Minister of Tourism (Mr Talbot) calling for even more submissions by the end of June is simply an election year ploy, postponing and dodging the issue.” Mr Moore said if the Minister was serious about tourEm, then his colleagues needed to be made to show the same enthusiasm for it as they showed for a second aluminium smelter.
