Basketball course

The Canterbury Basketball Association will today start a two-week course of coaching clinics for secondary school pupils. The clinics will be conducted in the mornings until Friday. The captain and assistant coach of the Canterbury men’s team, Clyde Huntley, the coach of the women’s league side, Phil Whiteside, and a former national

player, Bert Knops, will supervise the clinics. The first week of coaching will be for boys, starting at Cashmere High School today and tomorrow and at Christchurch Boys’ High School on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday. The clinics for girls will be held next week at Aranui High School on Mondy and Tuesday and at C.B.H.S. the next three mornings.
