Fast time for Lewis
NZPA-AFP Walnut, California The American world champion, Carl Lewis, ran the fastest 100 metres in the world so far this year when he clocked 10.06 sec at a meeting in Walnut, on Monday. Lewis beat his fellow
American, Ron Brown, who had handed him a couple of indoor defeats over half the distance earlier in the year. The chunky Brown, concentrating on athletics this year instead of sharing his time between track and American football, timed 10.125.
