An Indian meal is served to Beckie Barlow, aged 10, by Mrs Ngaire Richardson at the Thorrington School in Christchurch yesterday. About 80 pupils who are members of the Red Cross youth group at the school took part in the meal, the culmination of their studies in an international friendship unit. The meal also served as a reminder of the Red Cross appeal being held this week.
