Share prices continued toclimb on a busy national sharemarket yesterday. The NZUC industrial index gained a further 15.48 points to close at 1352.69. Among the market leaders, NZ Forest products led the way on a 7c gain, and other issues to firm included Feltex, Mair, New Zealand Steel, and Wattie. However, Brierley, Fletcher Challenge, and Odlins eased. New Zealand South British was steady at 180 c. Allegro Park Stud made its debut on the boards, the 50c shares carrying a premium of 50c trading in a range of 110 c to 117 c. The largest parcel sold for 112 c. National Bloodstock firmed 2c, but Ra Ora Stud lost 2c. Farrier-Waimak, soon to be known as New Zealand Equities, an investment company, rose 50c to 500 c. Ivon Watkins-Dow, New Zealand Industrial Gases, and TNL Group also stood out on gains.
