Mr Austin to undergo surgery

PA Wellington Another senior Government member of Parliament has a health problem and will undergo surgery. The Under-Secretary for Agriculture and Fisheries, Mr Austin, said yesterday that he would enter hospital on Sunday to have a kidney stone removed. Mr Austin said he would spend 10 days in Southland’s Kew Hospital and would resume full duties in the first week of Parliament, in June. He said he had timed his admission to hospital to best fit in with his portfolio responsibilities and the resumption of Parliament.
