Motor-cycle racer dies
PA Masterton A Masterton motor-cycle racer has died from injuries suffered when he fell from his machine in a race near Masterton on April 14. He was Peter Blackwood, aged 20. Mr Blackwood had risen to prominence in road racing during the summer when he scored high placings in both the 250 cu cm and 600 cu cm production classes and won the New Zealand TT 600 cu cm title. Hf died in Masterton Hospital'on Tuesday night.
