The creation of a Christchurch sculptor, Mr Don McAra, from two blocks of stone from the old National Bank Building, on the corner of Manchester Street and Hereford Street, is examined by Miss Andrea Tait, a receptionist at the bank’s new premises. Mr McAra hopes that his work, which is on display in the new bank in Hereford Street, will give some indication of the type of recycling which can be accomplished from the debris of old buildings.
