Patent on name
NZPA-AAP London The New York Yacht Club reportedly has a patent on the name America’s Cup.
A “Daily Mail” columnist, lan Wooldridge, says, “In short, the world’s most dubious winners have established themselves without rivals as the world’s worst losers.
“It would appear that the obvious counter-attack — to change the name of the trophy altogether — would involve massively expensive legal proceedings.”
