Successful foursome
By coincidence, the winners and runners-up of the Ray Smith Memorial mixed match four-ball stableford golf tournament at Kaiapoi recently found themselves in the same foursome in the afternoon. Barry Pope and Christine
Sincock, and Roy Prescott and Brenda Prescott were able to keep a close watch on one another’s scores and the result was in doubt until the last hole. At the finish, Pope and Mrs Sincock prevailed with 97 points, two more than the second pair.
