Women’s bowls fours
M. Cox (Dallington) will meet A. Whiting (Woolston W.M.C.) and E. Buckley (Riccarton Women’s) will play E. James (Rangiora) in the semifinals at Sydenham this morning of the Christchurch women’s bowls champion - of - champions fours. Mrs Whiting, who as a centre gold star holder has the best record of the
four, will, no doubt, be mindful of last year when she was beaten in the semi-finals. In the quarters-finals yesterday Mrs Cox beat J. Dickson (Woolston Park), 20-17, Mrs Whiting eliminated I. Krijt (Kaiapoi), 2511, Mrs Buckley beat D. McDonnell (Morrison Avenue), 25-13, and Mrs James put out N. Biggins (Sydenham), 30-15.
