Aust, gives beef the chop
NZPA staff correspondent Sydney Australians are giving beef the chop and turning to lamb, chicken, and fish, according to a survey by the Cattle Council of Australia. The survey found that beef was still popular with older and working-class housewives, but blamed its demise elsewhere on the greater availability of other foods, diet consciousness, faster lifestyles, and ignorance about the versatility of beef.
