Indian cricketers fined
NZPA-AP Bombay Members of the Indian cricket team were fined 5000 rupees (about SNZ74S) each yesterday for advertising a soft drink product on their shirts during the recent home series against the West Indies. By wearing shirts displayed the firm’s trade-
mark, the cricketers committed “a blatant violation of international regulations,” said the Indian Cricket Control Board secretary, A. W. Kanmadikar. Most of the West Indies players had also worn similar shirts presented by the Indian company.
