A.I.D.S. baby given a home
NZPA-Reuter Miami An abandoned 18-month-old girl with Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome was handed over to unidentified foster-parents yester-
day. The baby, nicknamed “Pumpkin” by hospital staff, was abandoned by her father after her Haitianborn mother died of A.I.D.S. The hospital received hundreds of inquiries from all
over the world from couples wanting to adopt her when her plight was publicised before Christmas. Doctors believe that she has less than two years to live.
