Last-over win to W.I.

NZPA Adelaide West Indies scored the winning runs off the first ball of the last over for the loss of nine wickets to defeat Pakistan in the World Series Cup match at Adelaide on Saturday. At one stage, the West Indians were 92 for seven in chasing Pakistan's total of 177

for eight off the full 50 overs. Malcolm Marshall (56 not out) spearheaded the fight back, Eldine Baptiste chiming in with 24. Marshall was also the chief wicket-taker for the West Indies with three for 28. Wasim Raja (46) was the too Pakistan scorer, he and Abdur' each took three wickets when West Indies batted.
