University league win
NZPA-AFP Toulouse The New Zealand University rugby league side beat a South-Western France University selection 52-10 at Toulouse on Saturday. The tourists showed their greater strength and skill from the start and had taken a 24-6 lead by the change-round. Michael Charlton was the man of the match, converting eight of the nine tries and touching one down himself. The other try-sedrers were Greg Vaa Fuguaga, Ted Thomas, John Fiso, Andrew Ah Kpoi and Uiti Toi. The results gave the New Zealand tourists a big confidence booster before their meeting with the French University team in Limoux on Wednesday, the final game of their tour of Britain and France.
