Rumania still behind Arafat
NZPA-Reuter Vienna Rumania confirmed its backing of the Palestine Liberation , Organisation leader, Yasser Arafat, after a meeting in Bucharest yesterday between Mr Arafat and President Nicolae Ceausesqu. Mr Arafat informed the Rumanian leader of the latest developments in the Middle East and his recent talks with some Arab leaders. The president had called for greater efforts to reach a political solution to the Palestinian problem and for the convening of an international conference on the Palestinian problem including the P.L.O. and other concerned parties. The significance was also emphasised of strengthening Palestinian national unity within the P.L.O. under the leadership of Mr Arafat.
