$163 fine on drugs charge
NZPA-PA London Linda McCartney has been fined $163 at Uxbridge Magistrates’ Court after pleading guilty to smuggling 4.9 grammes of cannabis through Heathrow Airport. Alan Hughes, prosecuting, said the cannabis had a street value of $10.60. Afterwards, surrounded by fans and press, Mrs McCartney, aged 42,’ said: “My quote is ‘Much ado about nothing’.”
