Fire razes barn
Fire destroyed a barn on a farm in Downes Road, Halswell, yesterday morning.
A macrocarpa hedge nearby was also scorched in the blaze, which the Fire Service was called to at 10.25 a.m.
Three engines and a Paparua County' water tender were on the scene for about two hours.
. A Fire Service spokesman said the bam was destroyed.
