Bulls in command

Bulls resumed command on New Zealand stock exchanges yesterday, stimulated by favourable news on the economy and the Government’s announcement of regulations to control property mortgage interest rates. After Tuesday’s falls bargain hunters moved in early but the market surged ahead after the Government announcement. The N.Z.U.C. industrials index reached a new high of 1091.00, up 24.47 points after its 15.82 point fall on Tuesday.
