20 breath tests given by M.O.T.

Ministry of Transport staff in Christchurch were busy on Saturday evening when 20 people were given breath tests and a traffic officer was assaulted.

A person will appear in the District Court this week charged with assault.

Traffic officers also attended three injury accidents, including one in Papanui Road where six S'e with minor to modlacerations had to be cut from a vehicle.

“It was reasonably busy but we usually have a busy time after a big rugby match,” a Ministry of Transport spokesman said.
