New technology seminar

A seminar on the social effects of new technology will be held at the University of Canterbury on October 13. >. chair in communications at the University of Hawaii. The three will also take part in a number of seminars at other New Zealand universities. The Post Office expert is Mr L. Zwimpfer, a senior engineer. The seminar will focus on information technology, defined as the result of z- combining developments in the fields of computing and telecommunications. The seminar has been organised by the department of extension studies at the University of Canterbury, on behalf of Christchurch Polytechnic, the university, and the Canterbury branch of the Computer Society.
