Bus timetable changes
Substantial timetable changes to three Christchurch Transport Board bus routes will apply from Monday. The routes affected will be Sumner-Riccarton, Rangiora-Halswell, and Wainoni.
The changes stem from a study of bus loadings made by the board, including public suggestions. The Sumner-Riccarton timetable has been com-
pletely revised, and a new Bayswater Crescent, Bromley, service has been included. One of the changes on the Rangiora-Halswell route is a service to Rangiora via Southbrook. Weekday services to North Canterbury beaches such as Waikuku and Kairaki will be extended to cover week-ends, and a new service will run to Spencer Park on Sundays and public holi-
days. Changes to the Wainoni timetable affect only earlymorning trips. Leaflets detailing the changes will be distributed to households in Avonhead, Bromley, and Rangiora. Bus patrons can collect copies of the new timetable from the information kiosk in Cathedral Square, or can telephone the board’s information service, at 794-600.
