Local peace group to fast
The Beckenham Peace Group will hold a 40-hour fast this week-end in support of the international Fast For Life. The fast will begin at 7.30 p.m. tomorrow and will run until 11.30 a.m. on Sunday. It will be held in the library at the Beckenham Primary School. Anyone is welcome to join the fast. Activities during the week-end will include a musical evening, a fun run, silk screening, games, and banner painting. Fasters will also watch videos and hear tapes on the antinuclear movement. The fasters will spend Saturday night in the school and will break their fast with a buffet lunch on Sunday.
