Pigmeat deaths

At least 42 people have died in two remote villages in West Irian, the Indonesian half of New Guinea, after eating pork from diseased pigs. Officials said that the meat came from some 3400 pigs which had died since ‘last month after being afflicted by an unidentified disease.
