Prix Morny

Siberian Express, owned by petrodollar millionaire, Mark von Fustok, landed a fine victory in the group one Prix Morny for two-year-olds over six furlongs at Deauville. Having made all the running, Siberian Express, ridden by Alfred Gibert, finished two lengths ahead of Ti King, with the joint favourites, Masarika and Defecting Dancer (Lester Piggott) third and fourth respectively. Siberian Express ran the six furlongs in Imin 10s, which equalled the two-year-olds’ course record set by Ancien Regime in 1980.—Paris.
