Two charged with robbery
PA Auckland Two people charged with aggravated robbery were remanded in custody for a week when they appeared in the District Court at Auckland yesterday. Bryan Edward Beard, aged 28, a process worker, and Teresa Calabria, aged 22, a nurse, both of Mt Eden, were jointly charged with robbing Sharon Denise May of approximately $3OOO while armed with a shotgun. The charge related to the
St Lukes Post Office robbery. Beard was further charged with causing grievous bodily harm to Neville Douglas Chew with intent to facilitate the commission of the crime of aggravated robbery. Calabria faced a further charge of. stealing bandages, tape, prescription poisons, syringes and needles totalling more than $lO from her employer, the Auckland Hospital Board, between January 1 and August 18.
