Nth Canty reserves win
North Canterbury senior reserves beat their Canterbury counterparts 30-15 in a representative rugby match at Rangiora. For North Canterbury Tony Harris, Alan Devlin, Des Dobbs, and Lindsay Mills
scored tries. Maurice McNally kicked four conversions and two penalties. For Canterbury Phil Beecroft kicked five penalties. In another match Canterbury under-19s beat North Canterbury second grade, 11-6.
