Mail sorters back
PA Wellington Mail sorters who walked off the job at Post Office headquarters in Wellington on Wednesday went back to work yesterday. About 150 people walked out in support of a colleague they said was unfairly dismissed.
After a meeting yesterday, neither the union nor the Post Office were prepared to discuss details of the dispute.
The Post Office Union’s general secretary, Mr Ron Burgess, said the sorters had returned to work pending further discussions with the Post Office.
