Hit-and-run victim
A cyclist suffered moderate head injuries when she was the victim of a hit-and-run accident at the corner of Bealey Avenue and Fitzgerald Avenue about 10.30 last evening. The woman, believed to be in her 20s, was admitted to Christchurch Hospital. Her name and conditon
were not available early this morning. The police were looking for the driver of the other vehicle, thought to be a white car with a roof rack. Anyone who saw the accident or saw such a vehicle in the area at the time is asked to get in touch with the police.
