Newton ‘serious’

NZPA Sydney The former champion golfer, Jack Newton, was yesterday in a “very serious” condition after 4% hours of abdominal surgery at Sydney’s Prince of Wales Hospital. The golfer lost his right arm, the sight of his right eye, and suffered severe abdominal injuries when he walked into an aircraft propeller at Sydney’s Mascot Airport 10 days ago. A stomach infection set in about four days ago.
