NZPA special correspondent Cowes Neville Crichton’s Shockwave helped New Zealand move up one place in the 15-nation team standings when it took second place in the fourth race of the Admiral’s Cup yachting series. Shockwave, fourth across
the line after an excellent performance in squally conditions. The New Zealand team captain Peter Blake’s Lady Be was seventeenth, and lan Gibbs’ Swuzzlebubble, twenty-ninth, and they also helped to lift the team from ninth to eighth place, with 346 points.
