Treatment for Hadlee

NZPA staff correspondent Birmingham The key New Zealand allrounder, Richard Hadlee was yesterday receiving treatment for a hamstring twinge which he felt during the thrilling World Cup win over England at Edgbaston. However, the New Zealand manager, Sir Allan Wright, said yesterday that he was

hopeful that Hadlee would be fit for the game against Sri Lanka. “Richard is being treated for a bruise which he received while batting and a hamstring twinge he said he felt. At this stage we hope he will be fit to play Sri Lanka,” he said. The New Zealanders will certainly want him fit for the semi-finals next Wednesday.
