Cricket coverage cut
PA Wellington Television New Zealand’s meagre coverage of the World Cup cricket in England is being further cut because of industrial action by 8.8. C. technicians. Scheduled delayed cover-
age early yesterday morning of the last hour and a half of New Zealand’s twowicket win over England was not available because of a strike by technicians working for 8.8. C. TV’s outside broadcast division.
A T.V.N.Z. spokesman said last evening that it was unaware the programme would not be available until shortly before its scheduled starting time of 6.30 a.m.
He said there was similar uncertainty about future links.
T.V.N.Z. received several complaints about the nonappearance of the cricket.
