Toddler’s feet put back on

NZPA-Reuter Legnano A baby boy whose feet were cut off by a motormower is doing well in intensive care after a seven-hour operation to reattach the limbs, doctors in the northern Italian town of Legnano said yesterday. An Italian Air Force DC9 rushed Giovanni Sandonato, aged two, to the Legnano microsurgery centre after the accident in a field near his home in Malvito, southern Italy. His feet and ankles made the journey in a bag of ice.
