Wimbledon finalists?

NZPA London Unless John McEnroe’s shoulder injury is worse than he fears, he and his fellow American lefthander, Jimmy Connors, seem certain to contest the Wimbledon men’s singles final again in three weeks time. During his 3-6, 3-6, loss to Connors in the London Grass Court final yesterday, McEnroe aggravated the

tendonitis in his left shoulder which has troubled him this year. It happened during the second set and may have cost him his chance of beating Connors yesterday, but McEnroe said later he expected to take only two days off instead of one before he begins his final build-up for the start of Wimbledon next week.
