Judo championships

Graeme Spinks, aged 22, was among the successful Canterbury competitors ia the senior national judo championships which finished in Auckland yesterday. Spinks, a member of the Can-Am-Ju club, retained his under-78kg title and was third-equal in the senior men’s open with another prominent Canterbury judoka, Michael Smith (Y.M.C.A.), who also won the men’s under-95kg title.
