Unions pool for terminal

The Dunedin Combined Unions are the latest client to use CBL’s trade union package. From their Dunedin office they operate a screen and a printer which are connected to CBL Canterbury’s on-line bureau service in Christchurch. The Dunedin Combined Unions are five separate unions: Shop Assistants’, Retail Butchers’, Food Processors’, Cleaners and Caretakers’, and Dunedin City Council Inspectors’. By getting together, each union has been able to take advantage of computer facilities which may not have paid individually. However, each union maintains its own membership flies and stationery, enabling each to retain its autonomy.
