Parks appreciated
Sir,—My family has had much enjoyment from outings to the farm parks at Godley Head and Charteris Bay. Throughout the year these parks are very popular on fine days. I hope that the Lands and Survey Department or other public bodies will acquire further land close to the city for this purpose. The Port Hills between Heathcote and Cashmere would be an ideal location close to city bus routes. Such a park would provide a magnificent amenity for the .present and future generations.— Yours, etc., G. POWELL. May 26, 1983.
